Daytrips

For guests of Villa Ditya a number of special daytrips were composed. The trips will take you to the many known but also still unknown sights of Central Java. Furthermore we have composed two Yogyakarta short holiday breaks. Click here for our Yogyakarta holiday packages. Overview of daytrips

• Daytrip 1 - Highlights of Central Java (basic)

Borobudur (Buddhist temple), Mendut (Buddhist temple), Kraton (Sultan's palace) Yogyakarta batik (traditional Indonesian fabric for eg clothing), Kotagede (district of Yogyakarta with a.o. many silversmiths), Prambanan (Hindu temple), sunset at Ratu Boko (temple).

• Daytrip 2 - Highlights of Central Java (extended)

Day 1: Borobudur (Buddhist temple), Mendut Buddhist temple), Kraton (Sultan's palace) Yogyakarta batik (traditional Indonesian fabric for eg clothing), Kotagede (district of Yogyakarta with a.o. many silversmiths), Prambanan (Hindu temple).
Day 2: Puro Mangkunegaran (outside palace of the sultan) Solo, Ceto and Sukuh temple, Kemuning Agrotourism (tea plantation), sunset at Ratu Boko (temple).

• Daytrip 3 - North of Villa Ditya

Gedong Songo (Hindu temples), Ambarawa (steam train museum), Banaran Agrotourism (coffee plantation).

• Daytrip 4 - East of Villa Ditya (Trekking)

Ceto and Sukuh temple, trekking to the 80 meters (275 feet) high Grojogan Sewu watervall (Tawangmangu), becak (Indonesian traditional trishaw) ride in Solo.

This day trip requires a good stamina!

• Daytrip 5 - West of Villa Ditya

Sunrise at Sitembu (Borobudur) Merapi (volcano) and Yogyakarta city tour, gamelan (traditional Indonesian music) lesson, sawah (rice field) plowing with a cow and plow, cycling between the rice fields.
